A new one-man project from Germany, nice to hear and enjoy. Well-made in his home studio, with hints of early Pink Floyd, Tangerine Dream, and Klaus Schulze. A very versatile CD, mostly instrumental.

Level p ist ein neues Einmannprojekt aus dem Rheinland, im Stil der frühen Pink Floyd, Tangerine Dream oder Klaus Schulze. Dahinter steckt ein gewisser Uwe Cremer, geboren 1965 in Düsseldorf, der alles selbst spielt, insbesondere Gitarre und Synthesizer. Sphärische Klänge, über denen majestätisch eine einsame E-Gitarre schwebt. Ruhig, aber nicht langweilig. Ein Stück („Bad weather“) mit englischem Sprechgesang, eines mit Hintergrundgemurmel, bei den übrigen vermißt man den Gesang nicht. Eine durchgehend gute CD, ganz ohne Ausfälle. Der erste Teil des Silberlings klingt eher psychedelisch, später wird es etwas elektronisch. Einer, der nicht weiß, was er will? Eher einer, der seine Vielseitigkeit ausspielt. Uwe Cremer sieht seine CD als Hommage an die Zeit, als der Krautrock noch jung war und Pink Floyd noch Musik geschrieben haben.

Level p is a new one-man project from the Rhineland, stylistically related to the early Pink Floyd, Tangerine Dream, or Klaus Schulze. The person behind this is a certain Uwe Cremer, born in Düsseldorf in 1965, who is playing all the instruments himself, especially the guitar and the synthesizer. Spherical sounds above which a lonely electrical guitar is majestically floating. Quiet, but not boring. One of the tracks (“Bad weather”) contains English speech-song; the others are doing without any vocals. A completely well-played and -recorded CD, without any flops. Its first part sounds rather psychedelic, later it becomes more electronic. One who doesn’t know what he wants? Rather someone who is displaying his versatility. Uwe Cremer regards his CD as homage to the days when Krautrock was still young and Pink Floyd still wrote music.
