Ein Auftritt vom 28.4.1973. Bis auf eines sonst nur unbekannte Stücke. Klingt eher nach "Thoughts" als nach "Revelation". Das Heftchen quillt fast über von Cover- und Label-Repros, Diskographien, langer Bandstory usw.

The gig of 4/28/1973. Most of its tracks are unknown, except for one. Reminiscent rather of "Thoughts" than "Revelation". The booklet almost overflows with cover and label repros, discographies, details of the band etc.

Die bekannten Virus aus dem Raum Bielefeld veröffentlichten damals zwei LPs, "Revelation" auf BASF und "Thoughts" auf Pilz, beide 1971, dazu noch zwei Singles. Als das Pilz-Label den Bach runtergegangen war, mußten sie sich auf Live-Auftritte beschränken. Einer davon fand am 28.4.1973 im Großen Sendesaal des WDR in Köln statt, wurde im Rundfunk übertragen und ist nun auf der CD "Remember" zu hören. Da der WDR nur die Senderechte besaß, konnten die Veröffentlichungsrechte von den Künstlern erworben werden. Bis auf "King Heroin" (von "Thoughts") sind alle Stücke bislang von Platten her unbekannt. Virus wirken hier nicht mehr so verspielt wie auf "Revelation", sondern rockiger, eine Entwicklung, die sich ja schon auf "Thoughts" angedeutet hatte. Im Heftchen eine lange Bandgeschichte, alle Cover und Label als Nachdrucke, Diskographie usw.

In 1971 the well-known Virus from the area of Bielefeld released two LPs: "Revelation" on BASF and "Thoughts" on Pilz. When the Pilz label went down the drain, they needed to restrict themselves to live gigs only. One of those took place on 4/28/1973 at the largest studio of the radio station WDR in Cologne. The gig at the "Großer Sendesaal" was later transmitted on a radio show and can be heard now on the CD "Remember". Except for "King Heroin", which was already known from "Thoughts", only fresh tracks can be found, which are not known from other LPs. Here Virus don't seem to be as flourished as on "Revelation", but played more rock - a development which was already suggested on "Thoughts". In the adjunctive booklet you can find the band's story in detail, every cover and label as repros, a complete discography etc.
