Xhol Caravan aus Wiesbaden war eine der ersten und bekanntesten Underground-Gruppen Deutschlands, Teil der Studentenbewegung und Wegbereiter der psychedelischen Musik mit Jazz-Einflüssen. Anfang 1969 hervorgegangen aus Soul Caravan, blieben ihre einzigen Platten die Single "Planet Earth"/"So down, so damn' and so blue" (Hansa 14371 AT) und die LP "Electrip" (Hansa 80099 IU), beide aus ebendiesem Jahr 1969. Die Neuausgabe von 2022 enthält auch die beiden Stücke der Single sowie ein Heft von 68 Seiten im LP-Format mit jeweils vierseitiger Bandstory in deutsch und englisch, zwei Interviews, ausführlicher Diskographie, vielen Repros von Plakaten, oft ganzseitig, einer Konzertliste, zig Photos usw. Das Ganze wiegt 600 Gramm. Limitiert of 2000 handnumerierte LPs. Vorsicht vor der billig gemachten Bootleg-Ausgabe, die seit Jahren im Umlauf ist!

Xhol Caravan from Wiesbaden was one of the first and best-known underground groups in Germany, part of the student movement and pioneers of psychedelic music with jazz influences. Emerging from Soul Caravan in early 1969, their only records were the 7" single "Planet Earth"/"So down" (Hansa 14371 AT) and the LP "Electrip" (Hansa 80099 IU), both from the same year. The new LP edition of 2022 also contains the two tracks from the single as well as a deluxe booklet of 68 pages in LP format with a four-page band history in German and English, two interviews, a detailed discography, many repros of posters, often full-page, a concert list, lots of photos, etc. The whole thing weighs 600 grams. Limited to 2000 hand-numbered copies.
