1970 wurden in Winnenden bei Stuttgart Nyrvana Pancake gegründet. Sie veröffentlichten eine der besten deutschen Psychedelic-Singles, sonst nichts. Nach der Verkürzung ihres Namens zu Pancake kamen dann noch drei LPs, und zwar „Roxy elephant“ von 1975, „Out of the ashes“ von 1978 und "No illusions" von 1979. Richtung und Besetzung wechselten häufig. Walter Negele war als einziger bis zum Schluß dabei. Schlagzeuger Günther Konopik ging nach der ersten LP zu Anyone’s Daughter. Obwohl auf „Roxy elephant“ kein Keyboarder dabei ist, sind deutliche Symphonik-Anklänge zu hören; und der Nachfolger „Out of the ashes“ ist bereits echter Artrock. Während die seltene Erstauflage von „Roxy elephant“ schon teuer gehandelt wird, ist die wesentlich häufigere Nachauflage auf Blubber Lips (von 1978) noch vergleichsweise günstig zu bekommen. --- Zur Zeit nicht lieferbar.

Nyrvana Pancake were founded in 1970 at Winnenden, a town located close to Stuttgart. They released one of the best German psychedelic singles, nothing else more. After having shortened their name to Pancake, they released three LPs: “Roxy elephant” in 1975, “Out of the ashes” in 1978, and “No illusions” in 1979. Their style, as well as their line-up, often changed. The only one of the line-up who stayed until the end was Walter Negele. Drummer Günther Konopik left after their first LP. He went to Anyone’s Daughter, where he remained for some years. Though on “Roxy elephant” there are no keyboards, one can clearly hear symphonic echoes. The first edition of “Roxy elephant” is traded expensively. Reasonable good priced is, in comparison, the re-issue on Blubber Lips (of 1978) which is more often available. --- Not available at the moment.
